The Festive Edit: Transitional Pieces To Last The Entire Season

The festive party season can be hard to navigate. Christmas RSVPs, cocktail evenings with friends before everyone escapes the City, last minute gift-wrapping and, dare we mention it, New Years Eve just round the corner. When there’s so much to do, the last thing you need at the back of your mind is that age-old conundrum: what to wear?

The festive season is about sumptuous fabrics, luxurious cuts and yes, all that glitters should be gold. Despite all this, the smart social butterfly knows that it’s the multi-purpose pieces that will get you through. The pieces that, when you’re running late, can be plucked, triumphantly, from the front of your wardrobe, leaving you looking totally together when you step out of your front door.

This year, we’ve been coveting sophisticated sheer blouses which allow just enough of the scallop detail of our Contour Bra to peek through. We love an elegant crossover blouse in a sheer cream for catch-ups over a glass of wine, paired with understated rose gold earrings to add a bit of holiday shimmer.

As for Christmas party attire, we’ve been eyeing up this season’s marmite piece – the cropped trouser. Love it or hate it, comfort is key when it comes to staying out late and a cropped trouser or skirt in rich velvet - as seen on the A/W 2016 runway from everyone from Kenzo to Valentino - helps create the perfect outfit to take you from day to night when worn with our 9.2.9 Swimsuit. We’d wear the outfit to work with a minimalist blazer to cover up the racy back detail, before sliding into some dangerously high heels to take the outfit to the bar.
